I dislike pointing at WaPo and it’s a fairly shit article but the headline really says it all. Americans are all talk. All of this bullshit about guns being driven by the actions of psychos and people that don’t live in any real danger. Meanwhile across the border there’s no issue with gun control - guns are EVERYWHERE in Mexico proper. There’s no problem getting a gun and the idea of the government somehow being able to control it is truly laughable. People frequently live in fear for their lives and the psychos are on the clock not just on meds (and frequently on a gov’t paycheck to boot). So, where is it that people take up arms to protect themselves from predatory government officials and hard-core criminals? Where is the land of the free and the home of the brave again? I forget…
